About Us

The Wellington Square is an online journal founded by students of the Creative Writing MSt at the University of Oxford, showcasing the work of current students and alumni of the course. 

We publish works of fiction, narrative non-fiction, screenwriting, TV writing, stage drama, and poetry and everything in between from writers based across the globe, who congregate in Wellington Square in Oxford.  The course’s cross-genre focus nurtures writers with skills in multiple mediums, who produce work which crosses the boundaries of genre, perceiving the poetry of dialogue, and the drama of poetry. ​

Despite our story of origin, this publication is not officially affiliated with the University of Oxford.
